Although digital devices in the classroom can enhance learning, many K-12 stakeholders think the internet can influence students to harm themselves or others. This case study explores technology that can detect signs of students considering violence or self-harm based on the websites they browse via school-issued devices. The study also outlines important questions any school should ask before adopting such technology.
